Valleyfair Associate Housing

Welcome to Valleyfair and its Associate Housing, The Commons. Living at The Commons gives you an opportunity for fuller participation in the many activities that Valleyfair has to offer. It's the place for you to meet and interact with interesting people from many different places and cultures. In The Commons, as in any community, it is necessary to establish and enforce a few rules and policies to allow everyone to enjoy a comfortable, clean, and safe environment. Be sure to read your Resident Experience Handbook, ask questions and follow the instructors of the housing team and security personnel.

Associate Housing Mission
To support business operations across Valleyfair properties by providing temporary, safe, comfortable, well-maintained, and reasonably priced accommodations to eligible associates. We support Valleyfair's vision and purpose by creating an inclusive space where associates feel comfortable to engage with each other and build lifelong social connections, allowing Valleyfair to recruit and retain high-quality, diverse future leaders.

Associate Housing Rates
Rates below are effective January 1, 2024.
Rates may change at any time, with or without notice.

Rent is based on a daily rate and is automatically payroll deducted. Rent includes utilities, basic cable, Wi-Fi, and free laundry machines.

Summer Rate:
High Roller House - $8.13/day or $56.91/week
Renegade House - $8.13/day or $56.91/week

Fall Rate:
High Roller House - $4.07/day or $28.49/week
Renegade House - $4.07/day or $28.49/week

Please note: all Associate Housing eligibility requirements must be met before moving in.

Housing Deposit
All residents are required to pay a $100 housing deposit before they will be allowed to check-in to Housing. This deposit must be paid with a personal credit or debit card through the Associate Life Portal. We do not accept cash, check, or "cash to card" payments. We do not process payments at the Front Desk.

Upon check out your deposit will be returned to you. Deposit returns will be sent back to the original form of payment, it is important that the account is in your name and remains open after your departure. Deposit returns are dependent on all the following being true:

  • Your room is clean and in good condition
  • There are no outstanding charges on your account
  • Your employment is in good standing upon departure
  • You have completed your agreed work contract

Other Amenities
Valleyfair is committed to providing a safe and healthy working and living environment for the residents and staff of its campus. Therefore, Associate Housing is smoke-free and vape-free. Smoking is only allowed outside, in designated and marked locations.

Each building has a common room on each floor. We provide TVs and different amenities in each common room. There are also free laundry facilities, community kitchens, and micro markets in each building. There is a pool table, ping pong table, exercise equipment, and gaming consoles available. Outside we have a volleyball court, basketball court, and soccer field on campus.

Off-site transportation is available via bus or per request as staffing permits. Sign up for offsite transportation in the events page. There is no transportation to and from work provided at this time.
