Carowinds is celebrating its 50th anniversary of FUN with the addition of "Aeronautica Landing," an aviation-themed section of rides and attractions. In addition to 57 thrill rides and roller coasters, the largest water park in the Carolinas, amazing shows and entertainment attractions, and exciting associate experiences, the fun never ends!
Living on the Carowinds Associate Housing Campus will provide you with a safe and relaxing place to rest. In addition, a chance to meet new friends from all over the world and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Associate Housing Mission
To support business operations across Cedar Fair properties by providing temporary, safe, comfortable, well-maintained, and reasonably priced accommodations to eligible associates. We support Carowinds vision and purpose by creating an inclusive space where associates feel comfortable to engage with each other and build lifelong social connections, allowing Carowinds to recruit and retain high quality, diverse future Leaders.
Associate Housing Eligibility
Age: associates must be 18 years of age or older to apply for and reside in Carowinds Associate Housing.
Minimum Average Hours Worked per Week: associates are required to work an average of 24 hours per week to maintain eligibility for Associate Housing. Associates who do not maintain the 24 hours per week average over the course of 2 consecutive pay periods (4 weeks) may be evicted from Carowinds Associate Housing with a 1 week notice.
Distance to Campus: associates are required to have a permanent address outside of 30 miles from the park to be eligible to reside in Burris Hall. The distance is measured from the associate's permanent home address that is listed on their employment application to the park address: 14523 Carowinds Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28273. No exceptions.
Length of Stay: Carowinds assoiates are permitted to reside in Housing for a maximum of 2 housing terms each year. Those who have resided in Housing for 2 terms must wait until the following season to reapply.
Associate Housing Rates
Rates listed below are effective January 1, 2023. Rates may change at any time, with or without notice.
Rent is based on a daily rate and is automatically payroll deducted. Rent includes utilities, basic cable, Wi-Fi, and free laundry machines.
Season Rates:
Burris Hall Dormitory: $10.71/day
Please note: all associate housing eligibility requirements must be met along with payment of a $100 housing deposit, before checking in.
Other Amenities
Carowinds is committed to providing a safe and healthy working and living environment for its campus residents and staff; thus, the buildings on the Associate Housing Campus are smoke-free and vape-free.
Directly in front of Burris Hall is our Associate Recreation Center (ARC). The ARC provides many amenities, including a kitchen with 4 full ranges and industrial microwaves, and entertainment options, such as large-screen televisions, pool tables, table tennis, and air hockey, as well as a variety of games. In addition, a sand volleyball court, basketball court, and a grassed field are available for outdoor activities.
